I'm Sage and I'm a remote professor and clinical mental health counselor in the Reno-Tahoe area. I'm originally from New Jersey, where I developed a love for being in nature, especially at the beach. I fell in love with the Tahoe area when I moved here for graduate school and am proud to now call it home. I've always been passionate about social justice and helping others, and I found my way to counseling through overcoming my own adversities. I work with clients to achieve wellness in mind, body & spirit.
My academic background includes a doctorate in counseling and educational psychology, a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, and a bachelor's degree in psychology and holistic health. In addition to my ecotherapy training through Earthbody, I am an active ecotherapy researcher with publications in various academic journals and counseling related magazines. I incorporate yoga, meditation, and breathwork into my counseling practice and am a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200). My counseling approach is primarily existential and spiritual; I have master's level training in religion and spirituality in counseling, and also studied meditation, philosophy, and acupuncture with the Holistic Health department of Georgian Court University at the Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing, the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and with private practitioners in Xi’an, China.

Services Summary
I am a doctoral-level therapist focused on helping millennials explore their identities and relationships, navigate life transitions, and support their personal growth and empowerment. I primarily work with women & non-binary people, and those in the queer/trans/poly/kink communities. Together, we will get to the root of your issues so you can learn from that insight and develop the tools you need to make lasting changes. Most of my clients come to me because they are questioning the meaning of their relationships, career, life, and/or existence - but I am here to help you discover your truth so you can live freely & authentically. I offer individual psychotherapy, partners therapy, and ecotherapy both online and in person.
