Bio
Since 2008 I've been providing counselling services to folks around the Greater Toronto Area. I'm happy to work with anyone, but most of my career I've worked with 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and people living with HIV. I have a Master's degree in Social Work, with extensive professional training thereafter (see the Services Summary below), and an Honours Bachelor of Science Specialist degree in Research Psychology with a minor in Ancient Greek Language. I've been practicing ecotherapy for years and enjoy bringing both an awareness of neurobiology, and storytelling to the experience. I am a queer, cis, white, male, settler; a parent, a husband, a writer, and usually an activist as well. I am licenced to work with people who reside in the Province of Ontario.
Services Summary
I provide person-focused and client-centred counselling and psychotherapy using many modalities, including ecotherapy, Emtionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT, particularly for trauma-related behaviours), and many other mindfulness-based and neurobiologically-informed practices. My practice is primarily online, with outdoor ecotherapy available in selected public parks.
