Bio: Adriel McCluer is a licensed psychotherapist who brings her lifelong love and deep spiritual connection with the natural world to her work. With a background in business, art and design, she made a professional change 10 years ago to the field of holistic psychotherapy after volunteering with a therapeutic horsemanship program. She currently has a private practice in Santa Cruz, CA, offering holistic psychotherapy to adults and teens. Adriel works with clients in coastal redwood forests, meadows, bluffs and shorelines, with equine partners in the Santa Cruz mountains, and in an office space indoors. Adriel graduated from The Earthbody Institute’s 100 hour Professional Ecotherapy Training in 2015.

Adriel integrates somatic, transpersonal, and trauma-informed practices from her Master's degree in Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University, and as a certified yoga instructor (RYT200). Adriel is a certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) through PATH International, and holds great value in the human-animal bond.

A student of Ariana Candell’s since 2011, Adriel also teaches at The Earthbody Institute, finding great meaning in helping others learn how to integrate their love of nature into their work. Bio: Amy Sugeno, LCSW, Clinical Ecotherapist, worked as a wildlife biologist for over 16 years before becoming a social worker and therapist. She has offered ecotherapy to clients for almost 10 years and has over 100 hours of clinical ecotherapy training. Amy has trained over 130 therapists in the Austin area and throughout the eastern U.S. She offers a variety of programs and classes to both clinical and non-clinical groups, including introductory and advanced clinical ecotherapy training retreats and mindfulness in nature walks for her local community. Amy is also a non-fiction nature writer. She will be offering her first full-day mindfulness in nature retreat in central Texas in Spring 2020.

She is creator of the groundbreaking Professional Ecotherapy Training and Certification Program, now entering its fourth year. She facilitates workshops locally and internationally, including Online Ecotherapy Certificate Programs, Ecotherapy Immersion Programs and consultation groups. She also teaches Ecotherapy seminars as an adjunct professor at John F. Kennedy University.
