“We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.” -Andy Goldsworthy (environmental artist)

NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Ecotherapist
Bio
With over 32 years of experience in the field of mental health, I have dedicated my life to helping people navigate the challenges of life with compassion, insight, and hope. My journey has taken me through inpatient psychiatric care, managed care systems, employee assistance programs, and deeply meaningful direct work with immigrant and non immigrant populations in New York City and New City, NY. Alongside clinical practice, I’ve supervised both social work staff and interns, always grounded in a commitment to ethical and client-centered care.
I have begun my journey with Earthbody and it has changed my life and my career. I have found a way to share the healing benefits of nature with my clients. I have access right outside my office door to the Kennedy Dells Nature Preserve where together we can connect or reconnect with Nature as a partner in your healing.
Services Summary

Indoor and Outdoor Ecotherapy sessions. I treat adults and seniors as individuals. I do not work with children, adolescents or couples at this time. I will be offering my services on a sliding scale with a discount to active and retired military. Please reach out to discuss rates. Bio
I am a trauma therapist that pulls from eastern and western modalities to offer holistic therapeutic services.
Believing that trauma memory is stored beyond the mind and deep into the body, I weave cognitive, somatic and nature-based approaches for highly effective treatment. Furthermore, it is vital to understand how systemic, cultural and individual circumstances influence the mind-body connection. To better grasp what is bringing you into session, my anti-oppressive perspective is influenced by systems, and feminist theory.

You are the expert of your experiences, your goals and your healing—I am here to assist you on your journey. The relationship between client and therapist is sacred and I hope to co-create a space with you that fosters safety, vulnerability, softness, compassion and accountability.

I work with a diverse range of issues from ADHD, anxiety, attachment issues, BPD, childhood/familial trauma, CPTSD, gender affirming care, LGBTQ+ issues, non-monogamy, relocation, sexual abuse, somatic presentations of trauma/distress, survivors of torture, spiritual and/or intuition development.

The power to heal lies within us, and I hope to cultivate a safe place for you to process and engage with whatever arises.

Founder, Jubilee Healing farm
Bio
Dr. Nora Dennis is the founder and CEO of Jubilee. Her approach integrates psychopharmacology, somatic interventions, psychotherapy, nutrition, and mindfulness. She has served as a faculty member at Duke University School of Medicine since 2014 and continues as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Her clinical experience includes psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and brain stimulation for treatment-resistant illness. Dr. Dennis believes that medication can be a critical component of strong mental health for many people to the extent that it makes it possible to engage robustly in psychotherapy and overall wellness practices. Her philosophy is to start dosing low, go slow, connect frequently, and include lots of psychoeducation and discussion on her clients’ medication experiences.

Before she was a physician, Dr. Dennis was a yoga teacher, and she now maintains a yoga and movement practice. Her training in awareness of the mind-body connection in herself and others has been foundational to her approach to medicine. In addition, she has completed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction training. She has a strong interest in psychedelic science and continues to follow the research in this emerging area.

She is a mother to three energetic children and enjoys hiking, guitar, yoga, crafting, and reading.

"I know what it is like to abandon oneself. And I also know what it looks like to listen to your authentic inner voice and deepest longings to create the life you desire. If you are wanting to feel a sense of deeper belonging to yourself, your calling, and to wild nature, let's talk. When I listen, I listen with all my ears—opening my pores up to absorb the information I am receiving, not just from words, but the body, symbols, and energies. My intention is to listen deeply with my mind, heart, soul, & body to honor the psyche's journey towards wholeness. Contact me for a FREE 30 minute discovery call to see if it is a good fit."
